Runtz Feminized Seeds
Runtz has THC levels averaging between 19% and 29% and is a powerful blend of potency and flavor. Named after the candy, its impressive genetics are a cross of Zkittlez and Gelato, (Gelato #33), that led to Runtz cannabis seeds. Runtz (aka Runtz OG) is a balanced hybrid with an almost 50/50 indica sativa split. Consumers can look forward to an epic cerebral high and relaxed body.
Runtz' Origins
The Runtz cultivar made its debut at the Santa Rosa Emerald Cup in 2017. It's been racking up awards ever since, including Leafly's Flower of the Year for 2020, 2020 People's Choice for indica Flower, and the 2021 Hemp Cup for Runtz Wet Sugar (concentrate).
Runtz comes from various award-winning phenotypes.
Although Runtz is still relatively new and hard to find, it has gained popularity at a phenomenal pace. No longer confined to its homeland of Los Angeles, now you can buy Runtz weed seeds and grow this amazing cannabis plant at home.
Runtz has limited lab data, but its chemical makeup is somewhat determined by its lineage, flavor, and effects. Its parent, Zkittlez and Gelato, both have considerable amounts of caryophyllene. Zkittlez also has humulene and linalool, while Gelato has myrcene and limonene. Caryophyllene is the most dominant terpene for this cultivar, followed by limonene, linalool, humulene, and pinene.
Growing Runtz Cannabis Seeds
What makes Runtz Cannabis seeds unique are their possibilities. With its large variety of phenotypes, one Runtz seed won't be exactly like another. THC levels may vary by harvest, but you can count on them falling somewhere within 19% and 29%. This is the same with the indica/sativa split. Though it may not be precisely 50/50 every time, the variation is minimal. It usually balances close to a 60/40 ratio either way, depending on the stronger parent genetics.
Your Runtz pot seeds will flourish indoors, outdoors, or in a greenhouse. But they need more space.
These are female plants, contrary to male plants, are the ones that actually produce weed. They start flowering when they receive less light per day, i.e., in the fall or when you manipulate the light cycle indoors.
Runtz is for intermediate growers, but it's quite easy to grow with the correct techniques. This Cannabis responds well to SCROG and SOG, as well as high-stress training.
Runtz plants are breathtaking. With an array of vibrant hues, they have an exotic tropical appearance. The buds are compact and dense with royal purple, bright pink, emerald green, and lime shades. The pistils offer warm, burnt orange and yellow tones. The nugs glisten with a thick, sticky layer of sugary trichomes.
sativa genetics mean these plants grow vertically, so it is a good idea to providing support when grown indoors or outdoors. Wire cages, trellis netting, and string are great options. Top and prune often to ensure the lower buds get enough ventilation and light exposure. Get the most from your Runtz seed by reading ILGM's germination instructions.
Preferred Climate
Runtz Cannabis plants are sturdy and adapt to most climates, however, give them plenty of direct sunlight and warmth. A Mediterranean climate is an ideal environment for Runtz cannabis seeds. This photoperiod plant also needs a light cycle of 12 hours light and 12 hours dark to start flowering.
Runtz Cannabis seeds produce resilient plants capable of withstanding most diseases. Some intervention is required, though. Its exceptional appetite means you need to keep plenty of water and nutrients on hand. Be sure to watch for root rot or nutrient burn. Fertilize using organic soil that's rich in nutrients. Under the right conditions, your Runtz crop will show extraordinary growth.

Flowering and Yield
Indoor plants have a short flowering time of 7 to 9 weeks, and the plant will reach a height of around 4.5 feet (roughly 135cm). It takes 60 days from the onset of flowering for the plant to reach maturity, and yields will be between 16 oz per plant if you're growing conditions allow for it.
Harvest outdoor crops in late September to mid-October in the Northern hemispheres. Mid-April in Southern Hemispheres. The plant can reach 5.9 feet (around 180cm) if they have sufficient space with a yield of up to 18 oz/plant.
Experiencing Runtz's Effect
Runtz produces a powerful high. The rush of cerebral euphoria lasts hours, giving you joyful energy. You'll feel buzzed with positive vibes, more productive, creative, focused, and ready to take on the world. The happiness you'll experience is all-encompassing. Do not be surprised if you're more talkative and giggly than usual. It's an intense buzz that leaves you in total bliss. The boost of uplifted energy can last for hours. But what goes up must come down.
The high finds its way to your body, where a tingling stone sets in. It's a comfortable descent - like Mary Poppins elegantly floating down to earth with her magical umbrella. You'll feel completely relaxed and unburdened. Even as these indica qualities take hold, you'll retain mental function. No dreaded brain fog, although you'll be less motivated to get things done. Eventually, you'll drift off into a peaceful and well-deserved sleep.
Due to its potency, you must approach Runtz with caution. It's easy to overdo it with this potent flower, especially for those with low tolerance or new consumers. Even regular weed consumers have a bad trip if they don't pace themselves. Overindulgence can lead to dizziness, headaches, or, in some cases, paranoia and anxiety. Even with moderation and pacing, you may find yourself with a case of the munchies, so keep food nearby just in case. Some say Runtz has made them remarkably thirsty and dry-mouthed, so stay hydrated. While you're at it, get your eye drops ready because dry eyes are almost unavoidable.
Runtz Smell and Taste
Runtz is sugary, sweet, with soft hints of sour fruit and smooth, creamy earthiness. The aroma is a lot more pungent than the taste, although you'll still experience an enjoyable flavor on the hit.
The inhale delivers a fruity hit of berry, grape, and lemon. On the exhale, the sweetness settles into a soft, enjoyable, buttery taste. Skunk and diesel undertones come through and contrast the sugar sweetness. Runtz's flowers have a strong, recognizable fragrance. If anyone else is nearby, prepare to share.
Uses for Runtz Weed
Though Runtz pot seeds are sought after for their ability to put a smile on your face, Runtz also has some therapeutic use. This cultivar is ideal for anyone with mental and physical discomfort.
Caryophyllene, pinene, and humulene terpenes are loaded with anti-inflammatory properties. Linalool helps to put the body at ease. Caryophyllene can reduce inflammation in the bowel, making this a great flower to consume for nausea and loss of appetite.
Linalool, when coupled with limonene, which boosts mood-enhancing efficacy, may cause you to feel lighter, unburdened, and at peace. These effects soothe the body and mind.
Runtz's effects start as energy-inducing and end as sedating. When consumed, you are eased into a comfortable relaxation rather than sent crashing down. This balanced effect has a very therapeutic and positive impact on the mind, body, and soul that leaves you feeling pampered and revived.
